HIV clinical trials have contributed to advances in HIV/AIDS treatment, resulting in increased life expectancy and improved quality of life for many people with HIV/AIDS today. The ACTU at UTMB conducts clinical trials for the treatment of HIV/AIDS, opportunistic infections and associated conditions, including hepatitis co-infection for HIV-infected men and women, 18 years of age and older. Study drug(s) and study-related exams and labs are provided at no cost to study participants. Assistance with travel and/or childcare may be available. Lab and exam results can be shared with the participant?s primary care provider if desired.
